Clearly living in Southern California it is almost always warm out, or at least 65. But I live a little inland and closer to the moutains so our weather has more of an extreme. Freakin super hot in summer and can get cold at night and colder in winter. Not more rain or anything, we are not talking crazy different, just slightly different microclimate.
The past few weekends we have been doing a lot of yard work and play. It seems every day we have a little visitor who just hangs out some where in the yard. He even works out and does push-ups while he watches us. (My favorite part by the way).
Meet our Lizard friend:
He doesn't have a name yet, but we know he doesn't like broccoli. My son left him a piece and it wilted and dried up in the sun cuz lizard dude was having none of it.
On this particular day he let me get closer to him than ever before...so of course I grabbed my camera.
No time to get any special lenses, just me and my 24-70mm and I was brave enough to try it on manual.
Getting closer...
ok so now I am pushing my limits I am about 3 feet away from him. On my elbows on the cement step he is on. But he just chilled and posed for me.
He was just soaking up some rays and I was clicking away...
Then my son decided to run up and freaked him out and he was gone, but he will be back.
Maybe not for the broccoli, but I think he likes having his portrait taken. Maybe next time I can get him doing puch-ups.
Take care!!
